This is not funny! the fact which all of these dumb “jokes” fail to mention is that heating oil and diesel are almost a buck higher. This fact is totally ignored. Why?
Because the powers to be know that old grand ma has little choice to buy
heating oil or freeze. And our truckers can not car pool, or switch to smaller trucks or
only drive when needed. They drive to make a living and to bring us food which is now in short supply. You should impeach GW Buch for this ethanol policy and mexican border
policy. we have been sold out and all you do is make jokes about treason.

i didn’t know you were gay!?! that totally changes my view of you!

i think the jokes are funny. a little humor can lighten the mood. but i do agree about W. he should have been impeached years ago.

President Bush has nothing to do with high gas prices. This blame goes completely to the Democrats and the environmentalists and the energy speculators in New York who are driving the price up every day as a hedge against the dollar. The environmentalists have lobbied for years with the interests of the corn farmers to mix ethanol into gas, which is driving up food prices. The sub-prime housing problem we have on top of that was because Bill Clinton repealed the Glass-Steagall Act in 1999 giving the banks complete freedom to scam everyone with easy ARM loans. Also, for you peple who think this war is about oil, you’re wrong there, too. Over 80 percent of our inmported oil comes from Canada and Mexico. Also, everyone in China is buying a car for the first time, putting a huge demand on gasoline, and they don’t produce their own oil. It’s simply time to pay back the free ride we all got back in the 90’s when Clinton was president. This is his legacy.

These comics are funny yes but its also saddening how true all of this is. The Sooner cars Go green the Better.

Please, Americans.look beyond your own borders and realise how much fuel really costs when not subsidised by your government.

” President Bush has nothing to do with high petrol prices. This blame goes completely to the Democrats and the environmentalists and the energy speculators in New York who are driving the price up every day as a hedge against the dollar. ”

Can you prove that? Particularly the part where you say “President Bush has nothing to do with high petrol prices”

Look chum, President Bush operated for four years with a Republican majority congress that would have voted in anything he wanted, and pretty much did.

Bush had four years to do something about rising gas prices. The fact that not only did he not act, but the invasion of Iraq was something that directly boosted the price of oil as a result does place the blame squarely on him.

You can’t blame a current economical problem on a man who was impeached almost nine years ago. If Bush really wanted to do something about petrol prices, he would have.

Oh, and just so you know, I’m not a Democrat, I’m not even American. I’m English and it seems that I know more about your government than you do.

“The environmentalists have lobbied for years with the interests of the corn farmers to mix ethanol into gas, which is driving up food prices”

Food prices aren’t anywhere near as bad as petrol. Besides, you’re acting as if getting rid of a dependence of an un-renewable source is a bad thing. Heads up, here comes the logic train. Oil is formed when dead bodies are subject to certain conditions over a course of millions upon millions of years. The problem is that nowhere near enough death has yet to occur to equate the amount of oil we use with the amount being naturally generated.

Meaning that we will run out sooner or later, I think its best to assume its sooner and find an alternative way to power our vehicles and homes and factories before we’re caught with our trousers down.

“the sub-prime housing problem we have on top of that was because Bill Clinton repealed the Glass-Steagall Act in 1999 giving the banks complete freedom to scam everyone with easy ARM loans.”

How did the repeal of the Glass-Steagall act “allow” banks to offer sub-prime mortgages? If my memory is correct, the Glass-Steagall Act was passed to help the US Government to deal with the recession in the 30’s. It was repealed because banks wanted to be able to offer more services to their own customers and even though they were doing this anyway, it was technically illegal. Its not Clinton’s fault is an assload of people decide to buy in to crappy loans without reading the small print.

Its true that the act did give banks some freedom with their ability to lend money and save money for its customers. However, it did not directly cause the sub-prime mortgage crash because believe it or not, the intelligence of the people isn’t affected by Congressional acts or laws. Meaning that a lot of people had to do a lot of stupid things for things to go this badly.

” Also, for you peple who think this war is about oil, you’re wrong there, too. Over 80 percent of our inmported oil comes from Canada and Mexico”

    I call bullshit.

    Yo: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Image:EIA_petroleum_consumption_of_selected_nations_1960-2005.png

According to this image from the EIA, the US uses around about 20 million barrels of oil per day.

    Per. Day.

Mexico and Canada combined can only create 2.9 million barrels of oil per day. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Oil_production

Check your facts buddy boy. Lest you sound like a moron.

“Also, everyone in China is buying a car for the first time, putting a huge demand on gasoline”

    No.

Using the same image as above, China uses about 6 million barrels of oil per day. Lets round it up to eight though just to consolidate for the time scale. China produces 3.8 million barrels of oil per day. So almost half of China’s demand is met inside its own borders. China’s influence is minimal compared to that of your country.

    “This is his legacy”

No, this is Bush’s legacy. The man was in power for eight years and did almost nothing to help lower the price of anything, much less oil. One by one the members of his government have been caught doing something they shouldn’t have been doing or have been called for questioning regarding specific events. The Bush administration is dwindling and you can’t blame Clinton for any of Bush’s mistakes because Bush was in office, Bush had power and Bush had congress for four years pretty much in his back pocket.

Bush failed miserably. Just accept it. It’ll make your breakfast taste better, promise.

    @Veridas: EPIC

    @Joe: pw3nd!!1!

I hate how snobbish the American people can get but I always get a smile on my face when someone pwns them with documented facts. Unfortunately, they still would not believe the facts. How sad.
I hate how their government (especially Republicans) interferes in everything around the globe, and then when things mess up, they blame someone else, and then decide to interfere even more “to save the day”, as if it was a Hollywood movie. Unfortunately, Afghanistan, Iraq and Palestine were total failures, and nothing like a Hollywood movie.
What I hate the most, though, is the fact that I’m a middle-easterner (Lebanese), having to deal with record-breaking oil prices because of some idiots living half the globe away, while the petrol is being dug and sold to the world by my fellow “brother” Arabs.

Finally, nice jokes, I especially loved the LOL, OMG, WTF one , hehe , epic

“they” think that as long as we can laugh about it, “they” can keep getting away with this. Take up your creative pens and ink a real protest rather than mockery of the American People.

@Veridas — How's YOUR guy doing in the Presidency? How much has HE lowered gas prices? What you really need is a lesson in Econ101.
